Daily checks and alerts

You can check any domain whenever you like. Once you verify that a domain is yours, we also check it every day and tell you when something changes.

Verify the domain

On the domain's Settings tab, under Daily checks, we show one TXT record to add at your DNS host:

• Host: _healthcheck.<your domain>
• Value: healthcheck-verify=<your code>

Select Verify once it's published. Keep the record in place: we look for it before each daily check. If it disappears, daily checks stop until you publish it again and select Verify, and we email the domain's owners and admins once.

Alerts

We email you when two checks in a row, daily ones or ones you start, find a new Critical or Important problem. Waiting for two avoids false alarms. A domain's first check is the starting point and never alerts. We also tell you once when an alerted problem is fixed, again after two checks agree.

Alerts go to the people with the Owner or Admin role in the workspace. Each email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can turn alerts back on from the Workspaces page.

Checking again yourself

Members, admins and owners can select Check again on any tab. Each domain can be checked again 10 minutes after its last check, up to 30 checks a day per workspace.

In healthcheck.email

The Settings tab shows whether daily checks are on, when the next one runs, and recent alerts.
